What is cashless payment?
Cashless payment is a form of settlement between a buyer and a seller or between a payer and a recipient of funds that is carried out without using physical cash. Cashless payments are made using bank payment cards, electronic wallets, mobile applications, internet banking, and QR codes.
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated June 22, 2023, No. 586, all state payments — including taxes, state duties, fines, utility and medical services, mandatory insurance, and other compulsory payments — must be made exclusively in non-cash form.
The advantages of this payment method are:
- fast and convenient;
- ensures financial transparency;
- reduces household expenses;
- improves personal budget management;
- promotes financial inclusion even in remote areas.
